Graduate student internship program

Lighthouse is always seeking highly motivated individuals to join our internship program. Eligible students include those receiving their degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling. The program is designed for those looking to pursue a career as a therapist. Lighthouse is a holistic mental health group practice that offers students a unique look inside the therapy space with exposure to many different modalities and ways of working.

As a Lighthouse intern you would be provided with individual and small group supervision as well as professional training to accompany your journey throughout the year.

• Provide weekly sessions at the practice
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation
• Develop treatment plans and interventions based on patient needs with help of supervisor
• Attend and actively participate in individual and group supervision sessions
• Participate in group events at the practice such as training’s, outing’s, etc.

• Be in second year of a master’s program for either Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
• Strong ability to work independently and be a self starter.
• Ability to receive feedback from supervisors and group members
• Curiosity about the work and wanting to grow your skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Commitment to being a group member
