Associate TherapistLimited Permit Training Program
Lighthouse is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our LP training program for Associate Therapists. This program is designed for those who have recently graduated from an accredited Master’s degree program in Mental Health Counseling (MHC-LP). Lighthouse is a boutique group practice and offers a dynamic and forward-thinking place to work.
As an Associate Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. During your training, you will receive clinical supervision in various psychotherapy interventions and modalities and extensive training opportunities. This training will give you a unique opportunity to continue learning and growing your clinical skills and immediately incorporate them into clinical practice.
Candidates for this program are recent graduates seeking to obtain their full license. Interviews take place in the spring, and the program starts in the first week of August.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a minimum client load of 15 visits
- Develop treatment plans and interventions based on patient needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation
- Attend and actively participate in individual and group supervision sessions
- Participate in didactic trainings and continuing education courses as required by the program
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling
- Eligible to obtain licensure as a therapist in NY or NJ (MHC-LP)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients
